Climate, environment and renewable energy

Our region is a large player in the renewable energy sector (hydroelectric power), and strives to strengthen this position also within new forms of energy. Bergen is also strong on climate research, with two centers for environmentally friendly energy, and a wind energy sector that is growing rapidly.

We aim to:

- Improve framework conditions for the renewable energy sector

- Establish the ‘7 mountain conference for renewable energy’ as the leading renewable energy-conference in Norway

- Make Bergen the renewable energy capital of Norway.
