Hordaland is Norway’s largest export region, and the Bergen area is one of the country’s most internationally oriented regions. The BCC has worked for many years to establish good, longterm international relations, and our international activities are aimed at increased internationalization in the region through sharing of expertise, building relations and increased collaboration.
The BCC's focus is on
Tightening our relationship with the Nordic countries, Europe as well as the USA.
Establishing and continuing good relations with the BRICS-countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa)
- Meetings
- Delegation trips
The Asia axis, with a particular emphasis on expertise and building relationships with China
Attracting and keeping expert foreign workers

- Center for expats (SUA)
Surveying the international activities in the region’s business community
Host City Bergen – establishing a Reception Center for international delegations
Further developing the BCC’s Chamber of Commerce services
